Missions
First Baptist Church has a long and significant history with worldwide missions. The first missionary sent from our church was Ruth Hege, who left for the Congo in Africa in 1931. Since then, numerous members have gone to the mission field from First Baptist. You can learn about them in our history section. We also have a long history of supporting missionaries from other churches through our budget. Currently approximately 20% of our annual offerings go to missionaries and mission projects.
