Rev. Tom Alexander is our Senior Pastor.
Pastor Alexander grew up in north central Ohio. He received his training at Tennessee Temple University (BA, 1978) and Temple Baptist Theological Seminary (MRE, 1984). His previous ministries include serving on the Youth Staff at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN (1980-1983), and serving as an Associate Pastor at the Lima Baptist Temple in Lima, OH (1984-1996). He has been serving the Lord here at First Baptist since August 26, 1996.
Pastor Alexander's wife, Rachael, grew up in the state of Michigan. They met at Tennessee Temple, where they served together in youth ministry. They were married in 1984 and have four grown children (Beth, Dan, Hannah, and Joanna) and nine grandchildren.
Pastor Alexander currently serves on the General Council of Baptist Mid-Missions. He has previously served on the Executive Committee for the Hebron Fellowship for six years, on the Board of Directors for Editorial Bautista Independiente (Baptist Mid-Missions' Spanish publishing house) for ten years, on the Council of Twelve for the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches for twelve years, and on the Council of Eighteen for the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches for fifteen years.
Rev. Klinton Richerson is our Associate Pastor, with a primary focus on youth ministry.
Pastor Richerson grew up in a pastor’s home in rural central Illinois. He received his training at Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, WI (BA, 2014) and later earned an MA in Biblical Counseling from Maranatha Baptist Seminary (MABC, 2026). Before coming to our ministry, he served as an Associate Pastor in Rochelle, IL, and Griffin, GA. Pastor Richerson began his ministry with us on March 1, 2020. Along with his heart for young people, he has been a steady help in the area of technology—a timely blessing during the COVID‑19 pandemic. He also serves on the Executive Committee for the Hebron Fellowship in north‑central Ohio.
Pastor Richerson’s wife, Andrea, grew up in Texas. The two met at Maranatha Baptist University, where Andrea earned a degree in piano performance. She is an accomplished pianist who enjoys writing and arranging music. The Richersons were married in 2014 and have three children: their daughter, Elise, and two sons, Emerson and Emmet.
