Rapture and Subsequent Events
We believe
a. In the premillennial and pretribulational return of Christ for His church, an event which can occur at any moment, (I Thess 4:13-18)
b. That at that moment the dead in Christ shall be raised in glorified bodies, (I Cor 15:42-44, 51-54; Php 3:20-21)
c. That the living in Christ shall be given glorified bodies without tasting death, (I Thess 4:17)
d. That all in Christ shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air before the seven years of the Tribulation, (I Thess 5:1-11; Rev 3:10)
e. That in heaven the resurrected and glorified believer shall stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive rewards or loss of rewards based on their service and that this Judgment has nothing to do with their eternal salvation, (I Cor 3:10-15; II Cor 5:10)
f. That the resurrected and glorified believer will then participate in the joyous experience of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, (Mt 22:2; Rev 19:9-10)
g. That the Tribulation, which follows the Rapture of the Church, will be culminated by the revelation of Christ in power and great glory to sit upon the throne of David and to establish the millennial kingdom, (Dan 9:25-27; Mt 24:29-31; Isa 9:6-7; 11:1-9; Lk 1:30-33; Acts 2:29-30; Rev 20:1-4, 6)
h. That the Millennium will be followed by the loosing of Satan from the pit, a final rebellion, the casting of all fallen angels into the lake of fire, and the judgment of the unsaved dead at the Great White Throne Judgment, and their eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Rev 20:1, 10, 11-15)
